The names of the most successful Slovak writers in 2018 have been revealed

A festive evening, great music, honoured guests, but above all many books and excellent authors – these were Ikariáda Awards 2019. Last year´s most successful Slovak authors have been decorated. The largest Slovak publishing house IKAR has traditionally granted the Golden Book and Platinum Book Prizes and the Golden Pen Prize awarded by literary critics. On Friday April 7th, 2017, the daily paper Sme brought the wonderful news in its insert Magazín o knihách (The Book Magazine). Readers of the bookstore chain Panta Rhei voted for their favourite author of the year 2016. Jozef Banas placed second right behind Dominik Dán and before another core author of the publishing house Ikar, Jozef Karika.
